The Story Behind \u201cThe Frog King\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Every artwork I create tells a story \u2014 and The Frog King<\/em> is no different. This piece was born out of a fascination with fairytales and transformation, but with a twist of personality and color. I wanted to bring a sense of playfulness and charm to the canvas while exploring texture and depth using oil pastels in Procreate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The idea started when I stumbled across a photo reference that caught my attention \u2014 a quirky, expressive frog that seemed to have a secret to tell. From there, I knew exactly what I wanted to create: a character that felt both royal and mischievous, glowing with confidence and charm.<\/p>\n


\nStep 1: Finding the Perfect Reference Image<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Before any brushstroke or pastel texture, I always start with finding the right reference image<\/strong>. I look for something that sparks emotion or tells a silent story. For The Frog King<\/em>, it was all about expression \u2014 the tilt of the head, the glint in the eye, and the texture of the skin that would make the artwork come alive.<\/p>\n

Looking back at The Frog King<\/em>, I see a mix of curiosity, humor, and creativity \u2014 all the things that make digital art so fulfilling to me.<\/p>\n
